Eye donation is one of the noblest acts of humanity. By donating your eyes, you can help restore vision for two individuals suffering from corneal blindness, giving them a new opportunity to see the world.
At Sudarshan Eye Hospital, we actively promote eye donation awareness and support families through the donation process.
Eye Donation Guidelines
Anyone, regardless of age, can pledge to donate their eyes.
Inform the Eye Bank immediately after the donor’s passing.
Corneal retrieval is performed within 6–8 hours after death.
The entire procedure takes only 15–20 minutes.
Keep the donor’s eyes gently closed and place a clean, moist cotton cloth over them to preserve the cornea until the Eye Bank team arrives.
